My thoughts when I see Italian architecture.

Me, before Assassin's Creed II: Oh, wow! What a beautiful building! Exquisite!
Me, after Assassin's Creed II: I COULD FUCKING CLIMB THAT

system—-meltdown:

I still think that out of any turn-based RPG, the Addition system in Legend of Dragoon is the best system around.

Most turn-based battle systems, you can just mindlessly hit the X button [or whatever button] and not pay attention to anything going on, and you’re still almost assured victory if your characters are strong enough.

But the Addition system makes you pay attention. You have to press the X button at the right time to utilize combos that deal the damage they’re meant to, and if you slack off, don’t pay attention, or simply screw up, then the damage done is absolutely minimal. And, even if you memorize the pattern the commands have to be put in, you still have to pay attention. Why? Because an enemy can counter at any given moment, making you have to press O instead of X, otherwise taking the damage you would have dealt to the foe yourself.

Plus, it takes skill.

I’d like to see anyone pull off Lavitz/Albert’s Gust Of Wind Dance attack the first time.

The first TEN times even.

It took me at least 20 tries before I got it, and at least another 50 after that to master the timing. But an, was it worth it

It’s a struggle to really master, but when you do, you really feel the reward.

/game rant

Can I just hug this person now? There’s sooooooo many people that bash on the addition system, but it’s unique, it makes you actually feel like you’re getting something accomplished when you kill the baddies, and, on a more personal note, it’s one of the main reasons I loved the game as much as I do.

Oh wow I just remembered something

I found a glitch in TLA (Golden Sun 2), and it made me laugh so much.

In Shaman Village Cave, where you have to have all eight characters in order to use Lift and acquire the Mercury djinn Eddy

There is a rock one square to the right and one square down from…
